John Luck Antarctic

John Luck is a photojournalist who has contributed images and stories about wilderness adventures (and misadventures) to a variety of publications, including the Washington Post, Backpacker, and Outside Magazine. Having made every mistake one can possibly make in the outdoors, John utilizes his hard-learned--and relearned--knowledge by volunteering with a wilderness search-and-rescue group in his spare time. Last year John experienced and photographed the best and worst of what nature can offer, from the stark and solitary icy beauty seen while a member of an expedition to the Antarctic to the devastation wrought to New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina.
